Hyperseborrhea is an overproduction of sebum, which is at the origin of oily skin problems with acneic tendencies. It can be caused by internal factors (hormonal imbalance) or external factors (increased temperature, pollution, etc.).
5a-AVOCUTA® T is a sebum-regulating active ingredient capable of reducing the overproduction of sebum on the skin AND the scalp.
On the skin, in-vitro studies have shown that 5a-AVOCUTA® T strongly inhibits the activity of 5a-reductase (type 1), the enzyme that stimulates the sebaceous glands and their sebum secretion.
5a-AVOCUTA® T acts as a real sebum-regulating active ingredient to restore healthy skin and scalp!
5a-AVOCUTA® T is a liposoluble active ingredient, extracted from avocado, from our responsible production sites in Mexico, Peru and South Africa.
It is also an upcycled active ingredient, with, upstream, the selection of avocados not calibrated for the food industry, the valorization of 100% of the avocado: the use of the skin, the pulp and the pit, then with the use of co-products of the avocado, resulting from our pharmaceutical activity.
5a-AVOCUTA® T is obtained by transesterification, a green chemistry process that concentrates the vegetable esters of the avocado oil. The purity of the active ingredient is guaranteed thanks to a molecular distillation step, patented by Laboratoires Expanscience.
